Tokyu Harvest Club – Hamanako

[Access] About 30 minutes by shuttle bus from Washizu station
[Website] Tokyu Harvest Club Hamanako (Japanese)

After being hospitalized at the end of the year, I finally felt like my daily routine was returning, and with my family visiting Hamamatsu, I decided to check out Tokyu Harvest Club at Lake Hamana, which I had been curious about for a while. My interest was piqued not only by the great location but also by the recent addition of a hot spring description on their website.

While Lake Hamana is known for Kanzan-ji Onsen, the Tokyu Harvest Club is quite a distance from there, so I wondered if they had discovered a new hot spring. The hot spring water is colorless and transparent with a faint sulfur smell, and it has a smooth feel when I soak in it, giving a different impression from Kanzan-ji Onsen. Curious, I looked at the hot spring analysis report and found out that the onsen water is sourced from Ikeda Sakura Onsen in Gifu Prefecture.

The onsen water is sodium bicarbonate spring, with a total mineral content of 1242.8 mg/kg and a pH of 8.6, making it an alkaline spring that’s gentle on the skin. If they offered day-use hot spring access, I would love to come regularly while cycling around the area.

The view of Lake Hamana from our room was stunning. I could see the route I often bike along when cycling around the lake. That day, a flock of geese flew overhead in a V formation multiple times, which was quite memorable.
