[Access] About 40 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station on the JR Nagano Shinkansen.

Tokyu Harvest Club Karuizawa Kogen is situated right in front of Mt. Asama, with facilities like a golf course, ski resort, and tennis courts nearby. True to its name as a highland resort, it’s quite cool and comfortable even in the summer. I wasn’t expecting much from the bath, but it’s actually a natural hot spring with its own source on the property. The outdoor bath, surrounded by green grass and crisp summer air, was wonderful. With a sauna, mist sauna, jacuzzi, and massage showers, the facility is clean and super comfortable.

The water is a simple thermal spring—clear and colorless. Being this kind of facility, you can’t really avoid a slight smell of chlorine, but it was surprisingly easy to just chill out and enjoy the soak.
