Many people might recognize the distinctive hard-shell design of the BOBLBEE backpacks, and I’ve been a longtime fan of their products myself. So, when I heard that BOBLBEE’s headquarters was in Malmö, Sweden – a city I frequently visit for business – and that there was a small store there, I couldn’t resist checking it out.

Following the address, I walked from Malmö Central Station in the opposite direction of the city center. Before long, I found myself in an eerily quiet area, the kind that makes me a bit uneasy when walking alone in a foreign country. When I arrived, the location didn’t resemble a store at all; it was more of an office-like entrance with no visibility inside. However, a small sign instructed visitors to press a buzzer. After doing so, someone who seemed to be an employee answered and kindly let me in.

In fact, I’d actually been to this location a few times before, buying custom parts for my bag on each visit. After chatting about this, they invited me inside the office, where I was allowed to take photos. One corner of the office was a stunning display of BOBLBEE backpacks in various designs, covering an entire wall. Even if you’re not a huge fan, the sight is bound to get you excited.

One of the highlights of these bags is their customizability. From the side rails to the central bungee cord, and other components, you can swap out parts to create a unique look. While some of these parts might be available in Japan, I haven’t come across many, so I enjoy picking them up during my visits here to customize my bag.

In July, Malmö enjoys long daylight hours, and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. I love aimlessly wandering along the coast of Västra Hamnen, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Many people gather here to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Finding great food in Malmö can be a bit of a hit or miss unless you’re selective about where to go. But I stumbled upon a place offering some truly innovative dishes. It was quite memorable, though unfortunately, I can’t recall exactly where I had it…
