NASPA is a hotel we visit several times a year. In winter, it features a skier-only slope perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers, making it ideal for a family ski trip with kids. During the green season, you can enjoy activities like fishing at a nearby fishing center or summer activities like bug catching with the kids and vegetable harvesting events organized by the hotel. There’s always something fun to do no matter the season. Plus, the buffet-style dinner is a lifesaver for families with children.

The spacious indoor bath is filled with plenty of Yuzawa’s mildly alkaline simple spring water, which is odorless, colorless, and incredibly warming. It’s especially appreciated after a day of skiing in the winter.

A 10-minute drive from the hotel takes you to Yuzawa Fishing Park, where you can enjoy fishing or catching rainbow trout by hand. You can even clean your catch on-site and grill it over charcoal. The freshly grilled, savory rainbow trout is a perfect match for a cold beer – absolutely irresistible!

Whenever we visit Echigo-Yuzawa, we almost always stop by Nakano-ya for their hegisoba. The smooth and slippery buckwheat noodles are a delight, and their freshly fried, piping hot maitake mushroom tempura is a must-have.
