My interest was piqued not only by the great location but also by the recent addition of a hot spring description on their website.

東急ハーヴェストクラブ 浜名湖（https://www.harvestclub.com/Un/Hotel/Ha/spa.html）より

While Lake Hamana is known for Kanzan-ji Onsen, the Tokyu Harvest Club is quite a distance from there, so I wondered if they had discovered a new hot spring. The hot spring water is colorless and transparent with a faint sulfur smell, and it has a smooth feel when I soak in it, giving a different impression from Kanzan-ji Onsen. Curious, I looked at the hot spring analysis report and found out that the onsen water is sourced from Ikeda Sakura Onsen in Gifu Prefecture.

The onsen water is sodium bicarbonate spring, with a total mineral content of 1242.8 mg/kg and a pH of 8.6, making it an alkaline spring that’s gentle on the skin. If they offered day-use hot spring access, I would love to come regularly while cycling around the area.

The magnificient view of Lake Hamana from the room

The view of Lake Hamana from our room was stunning.
